(click photos to enlarge)
NAMM,
the International Music Products Association, finished up its 2006 Winter show in Anaheim, CA
last January. The show attracted manufacturers,
distributors, retailers and artists involved with every kind of music
product you can thing of - from instruments and music production
hardware/software to publishing companies and beyond.
Record
crowds explored the latest in new product offerings, networked with new
and old friends, visited with celebrities and were surrounded by live
music in every aisle. Attendees also had the opportunity to learn savvy
business tactics at NAMM University sessions.
This year's
show saw a grand total of 81,315 registrants, including 9,170
international registrants from 92 countries! 1,462 companies rented
space at the show.
Joel was very active at this year's show - appearing in the Tama booth
to sign autographs, walking the show, and performing with bands headed
by hot guitarist Joel Hoekstra and Spyro Gyra bassist Scott Ambush.
